Ếch sau khi sơ chế rửa sạch, để ráo, cắt đôi thân ếch. Ướp vào ếch 1/3 thìa cà phê bột canh, trộn đều, để 10 phút cho ếch ngấm. Tỏi lột vỏ, băm nhuyễn.
Rót dầu ăn vào chảo, lượng dầu đủ ngập 1/2 miếng ếch. Cho ếch vào chiên vàng, vớt ra cho ếch ráo dầu.
Chắt dầu ăn ra bát, bớt lại trong chảo chừng 1 thìa canh dầu. Đợi dầu nóng, cho tỏi vào phi thơm. Khi tỏi bắt đầu chuyển sang màu hanh vàng, hạ lửa xuống mức nhỏ nhất.
Cho đường, nước mắm, nước tương vào chảo, bật lửa to cho hỗn hợp sôi thì các bạn nhanh tay cho ếch vào xóc đều để gia vị cũng như tỏi phủ đều vào các miếng ếch chiên. Cầm cán chảo lắc qua lắc lại thêm ít phút cho gia vị cạn, và miếng ếch có độ xém nhẹ, tắt bếp, bày ếch ra đĩa.
